For Thankgiving dinner, Zaara wore a black ruffled hem dress (notice the tiny rhine stone heart on the hip!) by Next UK (US$24-26 for sizes 9 months to 5 years), black with grey polka dot tights by Neige (available in Fiddlesticks for US$21), and black patent leather mary janes from Nordstrom. It was a cold, cold night. She threw on a tomato red cardigan/shrug that added a dash of color to an otherwise monochoromatic chic look. My lil’ fashionista!

The noisette collection is fantabulous. Look at the skirts with their tapered shape, side bow, poka dot hem, and alternating tiers of tulle and jersey. Now on sale at US$28.5 at Smug Baby. Wish there was one in my size!
No one makes children’s winter coats like Deux par Deux. No one. The Casse Noisette coat from the 2010 collection is on sale for US$55 at Smug Baby (originally listed at US$74). Sizes 12m, 18 m and 24 m. If only they had one in 3T or 4T! Another strong contender for the cutest coat this year is the Ainsi Font Coat with the flower applique around the chest.
My fav children’s shoe line Morgan and Milo – pretty and practical. No bling. No shine. A touch of whimsey in the form of flowers or bows on the toe or the strap. And the most amazing colors! Great sales going on now at the Morgan and Milo site. My fav: The Ginger Floral in purple, chocolate and pink. At US$35 each (down from US$43), I wouldn’t mind getting one of each (size 7.5 onwards). And while you’re there, check out the Dylan. Soft purple suede with amazing appliqued flower detail on the velcro strap (sizes 7 to 10.5).
Zaara’s 4th birthday is coming up and I’m getting all fired up for it! Had to share with you the Du Pareil aux Meme birthday dress that inspired the goodies at her 3rd birthday party! The photo here doesn’t do the dress justice. It’s a deep aubergine. Zaara wore it with a powder pink Deux par Deux full sleeved top, matching pink ribbed tights and the most amazing aubergine boots from Du Pareil.
Favor bag by Custom Layered Photos to match the DPAM dress! She really did an amazing job. But you haven’t seen the cake yet!
Created by my friend Farheen who is a lawyer by day and baker by night! The cake topper was a little girl wearing the Du Pareil dress and boots with a bag cradled in her hands! It will take a lot to beat all this next March, but I am determined to!
