Lil Britchin’ Post has some great stuff on sale in honor of President’s Day in the US. You know I love Luna Luna Copenhagen’s soft lines. The Crown Jewels Bijoux Tiered Skirt is down 50% at US$24 in the Britchin’ Post store. I’m not crazy about satin but this would make a nice special occasion outfit with a simple grey top. Love the tiers and the extra wide waist band. Use code TEN to get another 10% off. Really, a no brainer if you have a four-year old (only 4T and 4/5 size available; remember to size up for Luna Luna).

For a truly head turning, red carpet look no further than Luna Luna Copenhagen. In fact, at this year’s Christmas party if you want pizzaz without going over the top, put her in the Luna Luna Copenhagen Grey Gardens Tulip Dress (down from US$100 to US$77 for sizes 2, 3, 5, and 8 in Britchin Post). A crinkled pink body, golden underhem, bow tie in the back, and a lovely flower on one side makes this dress perfect for a very special occasion. Pair with the lovely bronze ballerina flats by Pazito (get it at US$68 from Little Luna Blue ).
I relish in the wonderful transformation that takes place in people in the middle of November, whether they celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas or not (this year was extra special with Eid in November). There is an extra smile on people’s faces. Everybody seems to be a little bit more polite and ready to laugh. Zaara and I are steeped deep in a happy, excited mood, full of positive feelings, and anticipation of an indescribable wonderful something. All is well. I know it can’t last. At work, on the train, at home, I dream of my little doll (she asked me today if I’d be her baby when she is all grown up and I’m old!) in that perfect dress. Luna Luna caters to this mood perfectly with dreamy tulle and jersey dresses. One that I cannot help highlighting is the Polka Dot Bow dress. Just check out the big bow at the back! The US$100 dress is on sale for US$48 (size 3T only) at Addy’s Closet. Pair with Heirloom Pink ballet flats by Crew Cuts for Kids.
The best thing about the Luna Luna Copenhagen line of girl’s clothing is that it is fit for any princess without an overdose of frills, velour, tafetta or satin. The Tiered Cameron Dress is fun and playful, soft and girlie; pretty enough for going out in and simple enough for staying home in on a very special day. US$29.99 in Everything but the Princess (size 5/6); a huge saving from thr original US$56. The Mansfield Lounge set (US$56; size 5/6) is also lovely. Remember to size up when you buy Luna Luna. Pair with these incredibly stylish ballet flats by Bloch (available in Saks Fifth Avenue for US$95). I just love mixing bargain finds with expensive accessories (or the other way round), bringing down the weighted average cost of the look but still looking like a million dollars! You guessed it, my day job is in finance!
Perfect holiday dress: Luna Luna Copenhagen’s pink Evita dress available for US$60 (originally US$120) in Little Luna Blue.
All ye hopelessly romantic Mummies! Luna Luna Copenhagen makes the most dramatic dresses in tulle and soft jersey for your girls. See the droolworthy Cristalle Dress available in 3T to 6X for US$48.8 (down from a whopping US$122) at Smug Baby, and the Evita in melon (while not as attractive as the one in black) is available in 6X for US$55. Lil Swanky has the white Evita in size 12-18 months for US$50. But if it’s really the red carpet look you’re going for, look no further than the Paparazzi Dress (down from US$98 to US$83.3; sizes 2T to 6X). The pictures here don’t really do them justice. But do size up; this brand tends to run small.
